500th anniversary in Tordesillas

2009 marks the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Queen Joanna I in Tordesillas.

She was imprisoned there for almost 50 years and this is a well known and infamous part of Spanish History, reflecting a time of Machiavellian love and pride. There will be many events in the town (just 800m from Camping El Astral) to mark this important anniversary.
