Red face New to Camping

I am really hoping that someone can help me.

I am relatively new to camping and I have a husband who is quite relulcant to go. We also have a two and half year old daugthter. We have decided that our holiday this year will be camping in france and I am really trying to find a campsite that would met our needs. I have looked an various websites but am struggling to find something.

We will be travelling at the beginning of July for a week, we are going via calais as it is the cheapest route, but as we are from Newcastle we already have a long drive at this end so my husband and I have agreed that we don't want to travel anything more than 200 miles when we get to france. We both like more commercial campsites but something also near the country. We aslo need somewhere that has entertainment for our daugther i.e parks or something. We also like theme parks and wine tasting so perhaps somewhere near them.

I know this is a lot to ask but can recommend anywhere.
It would be much appreciated as I can see if I get it wrong my husband will probably never wnat to go camping again!

thanks nina

Hello Nina

Why not ask the Alan Rogers Travel Service to recommend something and book it for you? I can see that it's important that all goes smoothly on your first try!

There are plenty of options in Brittany or the Loire that meet your requirements - take a look on alanrogers.com/travel

Hi
We went to [url=http://www.campingchantepie.com]Camping de Chantepie **** - on the Loire. Above the town of Saumur - the pitches at the far north of the site overlook the Loire (request one when booking if they are not already taken). Has a playpark, pool, restaurant and shop etc and is firmly within the wine tasting country. We thoroughly enjoyed it with two children aged 8 and 10. Plenty of children there for our two of all nationalities. No evening entertainment though if that is your thing. It is one of the Alan Rogers sites so their description might help you. We went there from Scotland but our kids are older.site is immaculate.

Have a great time wherever you go. Good luck!
