Default Xmas Camp Site

Hi Folks, advice needed, we are thinking of going away in the caravan for the xmas and poss new year, this will be the first time we have ever done this and are looking for places to go that might come within our requirements. There is just the two of us and we are in our late 50s.

We live in Milton Keynes so somewhere say within approx 150 miles
Clearly it has to take caravans over the new year/xmas period.
We dont mind large sites say like Ravenglass but not those big ones where you are lined up like houses on a council estate.

Prefer to be near somewhere small, scenic if possible like near the sea or woodlands. It would be nice to to be able to walk to the local pub(s)/restaurants and maybe book an xmas dinner without having to use the car (drinking and driving!).

Somewhere safe where you dont have to worry about morons breaking into your car or caravan. We want a quiet time but to have facilities available like food/drink to give us options.

One last thing, although not an absolute requirement decent tv reception would also me nice.

Are we seeking Shangri La I wonder, does such a place exist?

Any advice appreciated.
