Default Tow car

It's been about 15 years since I last towed a van.

Small petrol engines aren't particularly good at towing, however some caravans are light enough to go behind your car. The Freedom vans is one particular make. They have an all-up weight of around 750Kgs.

I use my mother's Y reg 1.4 petrol Opel Astra towing a Lunar Clubman 390-2 and its fine! Obviously it's no match to a torquey diesel car or jeep, but its in no way under pressure and I've done long journeys all over Ireland with it and its quite steady both on motorways and secondary roads! It's probably the best car of it's size I've ever used towing a caravan!

Larger lightbars are directly wired to the electric circuit of the vehicles, and are charged directly when the vehicle is on. But since the LED lights take a lot less energy to burn, they can be operated even when the vehicle is stationary.
