Default Sundrivehire.com

Before buying a campervan my partner & I would like to hire one, we have found on line a company called "sundrivehire" their prices are excellent. They seem to good to be true, as is the generally rule on line if its to good to be true it probably is. Does anyone no about this company, information would be greatly appreciated cheers Chris.

I've been trying to find out more about them too, as I need a campervan for a festival later in the summer.

I found this thread which raises lots of questions about the company and has tried to investigate their claims, seemingly to no avail and no little abuse from someone who would appear to be involved with the company.

I can't risk being left high and dry on the eve of the festival so I'm keeping a close eye on that thread in the hope they are genuine and I can get a good deal...

Default Sundrivehire

...we've booked with them for a festival in July so I am SINCERELY hoping they are going to deliver.
We contacted them after they were featured in an article in the Sunday Times Travel supplement so I doubt they would recommend a fly-by-night company.
Interestingly though, this past weekend they did a further article on motorhomes and Sundrive were noticeably absent from the list of companies suggested.
So I shall probably be investigating further now I have seen/heard of doubters. I must admit they sounded very professional and expedient when I dealt with them earlier this Spring.
Fingers crossed for all of us!
Linda

Looks like they've failed to deliver recently and they've also pulled all their Glastonbury bookings leaving customers high and dry with two weeks to go.

Hope they honour your booking Linda, but I won't be touching them with a bargepole now.

Default Sundrivehire motorhome !

I'm new to this forum so please bear with me , I booked a motorhome with Sundrivehire @ the end of April for a trip to europe in July >19th only to recieve a cancelation letter yesterday 9/6/11. The explanation was that they had cancelled OUR rentals to Glastonbury festival as they had received threats to staff & vehicles from their competitors,( strange as we aren't going to Glastonbury). Attached to the letter was a cedit card refund slip dated 30/05/11 So allthough disapionted & angry we thought at least we have a refund, WRONG! on checking with our card provider no such refund has been recieved !eugh! On contacting the phone number we had, we talked to a nice lady who was obviously a trained PR? nice but non commital stating she was only taking messages and forwarding them on.When asked if the company had gone into liquidation >> No Coment<<. On checking the vehicle reg No >> guess what >> it does not exist WOW - WE !! on top of this we also booked a ferry > non refunderble !!! We have contacted trading standards who have given us a little advise, but our holiday plans are now ruined & our heads all over the place. Any ideas? hope it doesn't happen to many more as we know it already has on reading forums ( no good reprts)
