Default Being Gassed in France is REAL!!!!

WE WAS GASSED!!!

We are on our holidays in France as we speak with our two children. We travelled down to Narbonne on the 25th May 2011 and on the early hours of the 28th May 2011, (it was a very still and quiet night its normally very windy) I woke up at 3.20am when I heard something being dragged under our motorhome, I lay still for a while and then heard it again on the other side of our motorhome and within a couple of minutes I started feling very strange and I then woke my husband up and YES we was being gassed!! and NO it was not our own gas bottles leaking! Luckily we bought gas detectors a couple of years ago and have them plugged in, and yes they did go off thankfully. My husband had to go outside (with baseball bat in hand) and unplug the electric, as soon as we stepped foot outside our van the smell of gas was unbelieveable and we heard a car start and wheel spin off down the road just behind the hedge of our pitch!! We then drove nearer to the reception area of the campsite. There was no security so no one could help us. All we can describe is its like the gas you get when you break a limb in the hospital. It made you feel extremely sleepy, as soon as my husband woke up he could smell the gas immediately and so could my 9 year old daughter!
We now will never park our motorhome near a road, or on the side of a campsite, we will always be parked nearer the middle next to everyone else!!

So for all you non believers out there I just hope that being gassed never happens to YOU!, as it has left us completely shocked what lengths people will go to to steal. We are determined not to let it ruin our holiday!!!!!
