I'm not sure if this answers your question, but I've pulled bigger with smaller! Personally I think that'd be fine! Its not ideal situation but it'd be more than adequate in my opinion!

Hi When i was looking to buy my first C'van i went onto this site
"www.whattowcar.com", all you need to do is put in vehicle details and C'van details, it will give you weight/power etc,
