Winter Caravanning in France and Spain

We are spending January to April 2010 in the South of Spain but are looking for campsites to stay in on the way down through France and Spain. We are travelling across to Calais, driving down on the N10 through Chartres, Tours, Bordeaux and are finding very few available sites, particularly in the Landes area.

Does anyone have any recommendations or knows where we can find the campsites which stay open in the winter?

Has anyone got any recommendations of campsites they've visited in the winter anywhere in France or on the way down through the centre of Spain from San Sebastian? Also, we'll be coming back in April from Perpignan through to Millau, Limoges, etc.

Have a look at this web site, it lists Caravan site close to main Routes. The Site with date shown in Red are supposed to be Open All Year, but of course it still pays to check.

These campsites are open all year, They are in France ans en-route to Spain → CAMPING HORTUS SULLY SUR LOIRE ORLEANS - SITE OFFICIEL - CAMPING BLOIS GIEN AMBOISE CHAMBORD HORTUS or this oneacceuil français this one Le Cormier - campsite, gite, apartments in South Loire Region France This one near the Med BandB-Camping-Chambres d'hôtes near Carcassonne Hope this will help, Please contact the sites before leaving home as some state that they will be open when they are not, But I am sure you will find that these sites will be open.
