Default Solar Panels - Are they any good?

Hi Guys

I have seen a couple of threads about people loosing battery power, so i thought I would advise you how to stop this without being stuck to a camp sites mains electricity for hours on end.
I am a caravan enthusiast and have been for many years. I was in the same situation of constantly running my battery down, on what I thought was trivial things.

That was until I found out about Solar/PV panels for caravans. Currently I have a total of 60 watts ( 3 x 20 watts) panels on my caravan, and I cant begin to explain how easy this has made things for me.

So much so, that I am now running my own company selling panels to the caravan and motorhome community. Visit solarandpvpanels.co.uk for a look at my stock, or call me on 0845 009 8642 and I will explain about them.

It saves having to be stuck at a site for 7 hours charging up the battery

60 watt panel means (in this country) around 2 to 3 amps so you will need around 30 - 40 hours to recharge a fully depleted 80 amp hr battery.

They are a good buy, I have a 80 watt panel on my van and it helps me keep my 2 x 110 Amp hr batteries reasonably well topped up and extends the time I can camp on sites without electricity but they are NOT a replacement for mains electricity.
