Thumbs up The Dell Caravan Park, Thurston

We hae just spent the Bank holiday weekend here. This is a very nice site. Very clean, flat and private. Only about 45 pitches in two open sections plus another non electric area amongst trees, with about 20 more.

One of the areas is for children and the other, adult only. We presume ths will mean over 16yrs but can't actually confirm this as we didn't ask.

The showers are excellent as are the washing-up and waste facility. There is no shop and the local village of Beyton doesn't seem to have one either. Thurston does have an impressive pub/restaurant that has won a lot of prizes. We chose though to spend Sat night in a pub in Beyton (The Bear Inn) as it has a large screen. (Champions league final...)

We will be returning here as we like a quiet location. A feint hum can be heard from the A14 but this is, I stress, only feint from the family park. There are no playground facilities but plenty of space for kids to run around, and dogs are welcome. (We saw someone with two cats too)

8/10 is our score.
