Thumbs down FR84090 Camping du Pont d’Avignon

Visited this site in July for 10 days with the family to camp. Lovely location but holiday spoilt by noise on campsite. We specifically booked this site as it said it was a quiet campsite. Imagine our surprise when a live band rocked up one night. We complained at 2300 that our kids couldn't sleep but received a 'whatever' response from the staff. Apparently the bar area is not controlled by the campsite. So although camp rules state you have to be quiet by 2200 this obviously doesn't apply to the bar. The band finished at 0015 and we were seething - not to mention shattered.

I complained the next day only to be met by the most rude campsite manager I've ever met. His attitude was 'stop complaining or leave'. We stayed because I realised that their weekly shows wouldn't repeat before we left (we hoped) but we were seriously unimpressed.

Toilets blocked frequently too and sometimes the power went off in the toilet blocks.

As I said, lovely location but think twice about this being a quiet campsite in the summer.
